Your healing timeline

Days 1–2
Skin looks flushed and pink — like a mild sunburn — and may feel warm or tight. This is normal: it's the sign your repair process has switched on. Redness usually peaks now.
Days 3–5

- Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF in the days before
- Stop retinol, acids or exfoliants 5–7 days prior
- Skip waxing, laser or injectables for 2 weeks before
Aftercare — do
- Keep skin clean, hydrated and use a gentle moisturizer
- Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every single day
- Use lukewarm water and treat your skin gently
Avoid
- No sun or tanning for 5–7 days
- No retinol, vitamin C, glycolic or salicylic acids for about a week
- No makeup for 24–48 hours
- Avoid saunas, hot tubs, pools and heavy sweating for 48 hours
- Don't pick or peel any flaking skin
