How laser hair removal works
The SharpLight DPC Pro uses pulses of light that target the pigment in your hair — heating and disabling each follicle so it can no longer grow, without harming the skin around it.
Light → pigment → heat → the follicle is disabled at its root.
Light targets the pigment
A pulse of light is absorbed by the melanin (dark pigment) packed in the hair shaft and root — drawn straight to the hair, not the surrounding skin.
Heat disables the follicle
That light converts to heat, travelling down the shaft to the follicle's root and growth cells, disabling its ability to grow a new hair — while the sapphire cooling tip keeps your skin calm.
Hair sheds, sessions repeat
Only follicles in their active growth phase are treated each visit — which is why a course of 6–8 sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, catches every follicle as it cycles in.
